If you're looking to close your pool for the winter, one of the best options is BioGuard’s Arctic Blue Winter Closing Kit. This kit contains everything you need to give your pool a thorough clean and protect it from the harsh winter months.

Here’s how to use the BioGuard Arctic Blue Winter Closing Kit:

1. Clean the pool:

The first step is to clean your pool. Start by removing any debris from the surface of the pool and skimmer. Then, use a pool vacuum to clear any dirt and debris from the bottom of the pool. Finally, use a brush to scrub the walls and steps of the pool.

2. Balance the water:

Once the pool is clean, it’s time to balance the water. This means testing and adjusting the pH, alkalinity, and chlorine levels in the pool. Use the BioGuard test strips (not included) to test the water and make the necessary adjustments.

3. Shock the pool:

The next step is to shock the pool. Shocking helps kill any bacteria or algae that may be present in the water. Use the BioGuard shock included in the kit to shock the pool. Be sure to follow the instructions on the package for the proper amount of shock to use.

4. Add winterizing chemicals:

Once the pool is shocked, it’s time to add winterizing chemicals. The Arctic Blue Winter Closing Kit includes a BioGuard winterizing chemical. This chemical will help protect the pool from algae growth during the winter months. Follow the instructions on the package for the proper amount to use.

5. Cover the pool:

Once the pool is cleaned, balanced, shocked, and treated with winterizing chemicals, it’s time to cover the pool. A pool cover to protect the pool from leaves, debris, and animals. Be sure to secure the cover tightly to prevent any water from getting in.

By using the BioGuard Arctic Blue Winter Closing Kit, you can rest assured that your pool will be safe and protected throughout the winter months. Give your pool a good clean, balance the water, shock the pool, add winterizing chemicals, and cover the pool with the included pool cover, and you’ll be all set for the winter.
